How or why is TikTok hosted on the Oracle servers in the USA?
I saw somewhere that TikTok was always hosted on Oracle servers in the USA. If this is true, how or why is this the case, why the app is not hosted on the Chinese servers?

The oracle servers thing were already a reactionary action to the first attempts to ban it back when trump was in office. If you research it Im sure you gonna get the exact details on the deal they made to keep it running in the Us
The government lied to you about the “security threat”. Plain and simple. Chinese influence has never been a real concern in this case- it’s always been about who gets to make money.
You know how they ALLLLLLL have stock in meta so they were financially incentivized to use their legislative power to block meta’s biggest competitor (tiktok) to help them make more money off the dying platform
Well, the goal was never to actually shut down tiktok but force it to go from a private company to a publicly traded company like meta, so they could all buy stock in it since it’s so much more successful than meta. All a politician wants is to be liked and to be rich. When elected officials put their eggs in the meta basket, it was both unlikable and not financially beneficial. They were horrified to learn that meta really is dying. They’re still trying to force a sale of tiktok so already rich Americans can get a cut of TikTok’s multi billion dollar revenue. It was made very clear by the people to the government that they would have much bigger issues than losing money on meta if they didn’t keep the app functioning. The servers and data were never a real concern, it’s just glittery official language to confuse the average meta user. And the government just completely undermined itself at all three branches.
