It’s hard to explain but since the ban was lifted my FYP is just different. It’s mostly people I’ve never seen before talking in their cars about nothing etc vs the highly curated feed I had where if I wasn’t careful I could easily scroll for 15 minutes. It just kind of feels boring now. Anyone else experiencing this or have any idea what is going on?
idk feels tainted to me now, my lil adhd brain has already said goodbye to it and the fact that the now former ceo bent his knee to that orange bastard so quick feels stinky to me.
ill probably go back an watch my saves but as for new stuff ill probably pass.
Mine is the same, except no lives or ads.
Also, not to mention certain keywords that would’ve been no problem to search before the ban, now show up completely wonky. Also, the app seems super sensitive to comments that are negative about orange man, maggots, that whole group. I used to get hundreds of likes a day on comments fighting/debating with those creeps. Now they all get deleted🥴 never had comments deleted before (only rarely if I went alittle too far in reading the person to filth lol…)
Because they paused code during the “shutdown” and implemented a new* algorithm…Meta’s.
Mine seems to be pretty much the same now 🤷♀️

I just saw a video about this. The algorithm likes to push new content and there was a 16 hour period that no new content was being created. Plus before the ban everyone was watching goodbye videos and videos about the ban. Then all the new videos after the ban are about Tiktok being back. So the algorithm is struggling to show you stuff. A reset works: spend a few minutes searching your interests and watching a few videos from the search and the algorithm should reset itself for you.
I just went ahead and redeleted it. Anyone using it knowing it was a propaganda tool to try and lift up trump makes me feel like there’s some social media addiction there
