Curate feed to be Trump free?

If you get a video about anything that you don’t particularly fancy, press and hold down on the video and press “not interested”.

Google. facebook, YouTube, and tiktok have/will become right-wing propaganda tools. The only one you can maybe avoid is YouTube using ad blockers

Fellow Canadian here in the same boat. If i hold down on a video I have the option to customize feed. You can mute certain words so I entered anything related to American politics. If a video does pop up I just click not interested. It’s helped a lot. It really is depressing and draining, I do not want to be in this timeline

I’d kill for a “mute word” filter for my fyp.

If you see videos you don't like, tap and hold the video. Options will slide up. Tap 'Not Interested' and fyp will show you fewer posts like it.

If you talk about Trump or watch anything related to Trump regardless if it’s positive or not it will pop up in your FYP

If you go to settings, content preferences, filter keywords, you can add trump and related terms there and it should help some.

I've done this for the damelios, ashtrevino, vexbolts, tiktokshop, and a buuunch others and it does help.

lol good luck with that. Maybe try Mastodon/Pixelfed/Lemmy/Loops which lack algorithms and only follow non-political stuff

Albertan in the US here. I headed over to xiaohongshu to get a reprieve from American cultural obsessions, be they lefty narcisissists or far-right lunatics. I find it to be a breath of fresh air. The vibe on XHS is a lot more enjoyable, probably because the Chinese don’t appear to take the same delight in making themselves miserable day in and day out that we seem to here in the west.

Canadian living in America here. I'm pretty sure that Tiktok sold itself to Meta. Meta supports Trump. When tiktok had its 12hour ban, it had push notifications praising Trump essentially. That app is pretty much dead at this point.

I'm grieving that I lost my support group.
