North Korea is 500000 times worse than China but I see more and more westerners say that NK better than US. What?????

Because they're ignorant. I've been to the DPRK on a USO tour. I've also been on the north side of the DPRK when I was visiting Vladivostok. I saw a TON of people who were ethnically Korean, but I know those people have more ties to the DPRK than I probably know. It was fun switching languages on them.
Anyway, that was a couple of days, and that was insightful enough.
They're going to be in the FAFO zone soon enough. Maybe we'll have a few people make the stupid move of going there, and with this current administration, that's not a good idea.

You need to realize that Americans live in an echo chamber. They rank 3rd for number of internet users around the world, after China and India, which means they listen to people complaining about their same problems 24/7 and so does everyone online who speaks English.
Many of these non-American English speakers listening happen to be Europeans from rich, progressive countries with strong socialist policies who are going to reinforce this American belief that they truly have it worse than everyone else, simply because they probably do have it worse than the average Norwegian or German...
Unfortunately they lack the perspective to realize that this doesn't apply to the vast majority of countries around the world. In fact, it doesn't even apply to all Europe, just some parts of it. This sort of ignorance makes them very susceptible to propaganda from other countries such as the communist ones and that's how you get nonsense like what you described in your post.

I think making assumptions about countries we know little of, other than exposure through biased sources, is of little value conversationally or intellectually. Every nation has it's own strengths and shortcomings. I would rather see us reach out to one another for understanding and where we share common values.

During the Korea war the air force had the order to "bomb every stone on top of another and everything that moves" they murdered 20% of the north Korean population and destroyed every last bit of infrastructure.
Afterwards they sanctioned the country, demonised their government and then pointed the fingers at the evil dictators starving their population
I'm sure life is hard in north Korea (altho these days it's much better than many other developing nations) but at least it's a peaceful country, the only war it fought was the Korea war

rant: i really hate rednote
I'm Chinese, and I've been living in China for 6 years now. I did briefly grow up in Canada, which, honestly, brutally fucked up my Chinese when I was younger, which means that my Chinese is nearly native level speaking-wise, not so much texting-wise. I hate the glaze that abcs/cbcs get for using shitty Chinese, but when I misunderstand a comment in Chinese and ask stuff, I get told by other Chinese netizens that I'm not Chinese and I'll never be Chinese enough and uncultured and i should go dickride white people and then I report it, and nothing happens because I reported it with my fuckass Chinese. i get this sm now js because my IP says Canada because I'm visiting my family there rn. what the fuck. i hate my life i hate being told im an immigrant in one place and then when i actually go the fuck home back to my 'home country' i get told that im uncultured and stupid and "dickriding the west." can we delete all chinese men above 40 from the app please please please please please i cant stand ts anymore i would rather be on twitter and being spammed by bots like 'big boobed janette' than ts.

iām australian born chinese. some of my interests are really niche globally, but has lots of fanartists in china. iām friends with them on global platforms like xwitter, but they post much more here and also itās more lively.. iād really love to see their works (guess i still can, i just canāt share anymore.) so far the changes in my account that i noticed is a fully resetted profile name, pictures, bio. people wonāt see my profile and posts, and i canāt make new posts or comment. theyāve restricted the feature to delete this account and make a new one..? it doesnāt bother me cuz i just started, but iām still a little sad. ive tried the automated appeal with my passport. i dont care if they get my information but when i tried to give my details, it needed me to NFC scan my passport. the facial recognition failed many times since my lighting was too bright. after the 7th try they got it, but said my phone is āunsafeā, therefore itās not valid. is there just no way around itā¦ ive said absolutely nothing to no one, i like art posts and finally decided to post my own drawings (with my desc text in chinese). did i post too many within 30 minutes??? whatd i even do so far bilibili has been the most kind app to me, taobao has also banned me at one point should i pack it up and leave

Help with package returned
I had a package from xiaohongshu shipped to the Cainiao warehouse, but they rejected my package with a message that said it will be returned to the seller via the original route. I was told that when a package is rejected by Cainiao, it will be returned to the sender via the same tracking number. Iām trying to fill out the Return Details on xiaohongshu, but itās not letting me enter the same tracking number. So what should I do??
