Criteria for going live

Apologies if I got this wrong or if this is general knowledge but I was told the criteria for being able to go live on tiktok was (being 18+ and) having 1000 followers...my account only has 219 but I got a notification saying I can now go live.

Did everyone get this? Did the follower count come down? Did something change ages ago and I'm just horribly clueless?
