we need a new app
Has anyone developed an alternative app to tiktok yet? So many people stay on tiktok because it provides a source of news, education, and entertainment. But now content is being censored in America and I fear it’s going to get worse. Im talking an app completely free and adless - perhaps made as a hobby by someone with a passion. Maybe there’s an option to make a donation to support the developers. It could be the social media app to end social media apps. There could be a section for chatting with friends like DM’s on instagram. Maybe when posting you place it into a category - like ‘news’, ‘entertainment’, or ‘education’ and under those there could be tags for things like ‘American politics’, ‘climate change’, ‘science’ etc to make it easier to find things. I’m so sick of supporting billionaires by using their apps just because there’s no good alternative. Is there something like this that exists?
