Dear White People ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This has been coming up over and over on my FYP. Black Americans saying, "Dear White People ❤️❤️❤️, would you be my friend?" And like, I don't have a problem with the message but the spam and tone of it is getting weird? I'm even starting to wonder if its AI?

Edit: IDK, tiktok has been giving me the heebie jeebies lately.

It’s because it’s now controlled by white privileged right wing cult propaganda. Welcome to the new nazi tik tok!

I’ve been seeing those pretty often for a few years. I figured it was just an easy way to rack up a ton of engagement.

I don’t have any of this I feel like you guys are actively looking for these posts to complain

I had a man come on my FYP doing that the other day. Checked his profile because I remembered seeing something similar right after the election, and this more recent guy’s profile was ENTIRELY that video. Like, different videos but the same thing, him asking white people if we would be his friend. I get maybe one or two videos every few months, but bro, I don’t wanna be your friend if you’re just unoriginal like that 😭 Imagine if the entirety of my content was just, “straight people, will you be my friend?” Like, I’m cool with the fact that you’re black, don’t get me wrong, but it’s more the idea of someone singling out a specific group of people and asking them over and over if they’ll be his friend, and that’s the only content he posts. That’s the weird part. Or if I said, “cis people, will you be my friend?” Or “neurotypical people, will you be my friend?” Or “non-chronically ill people, will you be my friend?” Y’all see why I think this is weird, right?

Idk I just know it’s been a thing since the Facebook days

My first thought was all the faceless commenter's who pretend they're black to give their opinion on certain predominantly black issues more credit

It's better than the "dear white people " stuff you see on Netflix and shit.
