Are people really buying iPhones and iPads with TikTok?

I've seen some on the marketplace, but I truly doubt they would sell or even stay up for long.

From what I've read you can change your address to a Canada one and use a VPN to re-download the app

You'd sell your phone with all your info on it, since you cannot wipe it or they wouldn't have the app, just so someone can have TikTok? 🤨

You can fly to another country. Install TikTok. Have a week vacation and still be well under 10k.

This was actually on the CBS MORNING news today. Supposedly, someone sold their iPhone with Tik Tok on it for $25,000! Crazy 🤪

I doubt many if any are, but if anyone is they are crazy. It hasn't been sold yet so we are only guaranteed it will be around for less than 3 months, if it is sold it will be back on the app store for free. How addicted are they? And for that matter if they were THAT addicted why would they delete it in the less than 24 hours it was down when people were saying it would likely be back in a day or 2. I mean I was skeptical it was actually going to happen then too, but if I was that addicted I would have at least waited to see.
