I believe that TikTok is being shut down because the platform exposed certain crimes against humanity. Do you agree?

I do think it is being closely monitored and controlled now. I don’t think it will be shut down just ruined

Don’t expect engaging conversation on this subreddit. Most of the people here despise TikTok. I think they’re just here to troll the sub, honestly.

But yes, I absolutely do believe, because of the way the algorithm works, and because you can get so many more views on a TikTok than you can via any other social media platform, and we got to see things in real time, like the horrific atrocities in Gaza, that the app became a target. And now, people that deleted the app can’t even get it because it’s not in the App Store anymore. So what’s going to happen is it’s going to start to get glitchy, and you’re not going to be able to get updates, and eventually it’s just going to go away.

I honestly think it’s not the same and won’t ever be the same as before. That new “Trend” going around too isn’t going to make it any better either. All it’s going to do is make us be more censored and risk losing it for good since it IS causing a major uproar on a certain side of TikTok. People need to chill and get back to them dancing vids and stop hating on everything

I agree, when I first joined this and Tiktok was 2020. Taught I was crazy on this app for not wanting to get vaccinated on TikTok I seemed "normal".

The Israeli invasion? There’s more than enough info out there on Israel’s disregard for Palestinian life already and there has been for decades. 

Is TikTok being shut down? don't be so sure about that.

You’re so wrong that you’re a walking example of why people have gave TikTok an ultimatum. It’s a propaganda tool of an enemy government that oozes with toxicity, disinformation and misinformation 

No, it might be national security concerns and manipulation by the Chinese government. All ByteDance and its subsidiaries are affected. All apps are removed from app stores in the United States, but it is still available on the web or if you already have it under de jure ban.
