TikTok algorithm is starting to make no sense

Why would TikTok think that if you block certain accounts, you would want to see similar content. Long story short there is a company that is controversial right now. For some reason, TikTok was showing me videos of people boycotting the company. ( I personally support the company) I was getting them so frequently I started to block accounts. Now it seems I am getting more videos about boycotting “company” . Did I bring this on myself? Would I be better off just scrolling past the videos?
