Why r people so harsh about Koreans?
Is it a joke, the way Americans make fun of Koreans or are they for real?

Many Chinese people grew up hearing that Korea was claiming a lot of things with Chinese origin as their own cultural heritage (New Year, zhong zi, dragon boat festivals, etc)
So a lot of them ended up hating Koreans because of those claims.
In general, the netizens from China, Korea and Japan hold a lot of grudges to each other due to historical and political issues.
Who is making fun of Koreans...
the propaganda fed to usa about the dprk is a lot more intense (and downright bizarre...) compared even to what they've been told about the prc. hakim did a video a few years back detailing (and debunking) a good bit of it: https://youtu.be/EzDhqXuELjo?si=Y_lH-qOJFgkaK3Gl
media such as video games, pop music and the netflix series squid games from the rok has become a bit more popular in the west in recent years, which has led to a racist backlash in some more right-wing circles
Properly started from last Winter Olympics and Summer Olympics where South Koreans truly lack sportsmanship. It is not good as majority can't the different between Koreans and the rest of Asia.
It’s for real. Due to sinophobia, much of Chinese culture is ascribed to Korea and Japan. Because Chinese didn’t have much of a voice in the global stage and with the perceived glamorousness of kpop and anime, the cultural exports of Korea and Japan, a truly shocking amount of culture has been appropriated. I just want to ask how many people think of China when you see matcha, mochi, bonsai, ramen, or gyoza? What about Asian makeup, nails, and fashion? Because red note content is often directly lifted and branded K-beauty. This is barely scratching the surface.
This isn’t always done by Japanese and Koreans themselves, but even when things are wrongly credited, weebs and koreaboos will aggressively curse at Chinese people or anyone who says otherwise. Since few people know a much of Chinese culture, I don’t think non-Chinese can really understand just how much has been appropriated.
Where Japan has more openly admitted or respectfully mentioned Chinese influence in their culture, some (mostly online keyboard nationalists) Koreans and Koreaboos actively appropriate. This means not only claiming elements of Chinese culture, but also claiming to have invented it and actively attacking Chinese in online spaces for participating in their own culture. There’s a fairly negative sentiment right now towards Korea due to 1. cultural appropriation and 2. sportsmanship, if you’ve heard anything about weiqi and the LG cup
They are stoling everything.
So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!
Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.
Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
