Is this legal?

Are accounts like these just recording creator's and then posting them with a paragraph trying to sell a product? Should I be reporting them?

You really want to see irony? We all know if you have FB installed- they listen to your IRL convos and target ads based on what you talk about and that has never happened when only TiKtoK is installed - idk kinda weird.

Isn’t that basically what TikTok is? Either selling a product or selling yourself

Why would this be illegal

If they are stealing other creators vids to promote their product. It is illegal if they don’t have permission

My husband proposed to me in a remote location. He did it in the moment without a ring & said he just couldn’t wait. I appreciated the in the moment proposal & told him it was fine he didn’t have a ring. Around an hour later he opened fb to call his mom who lived overseas & we were going to tell her the good news. The first thing to pop up when he opened the app was an ad for wedding rings. He’d never gotten an ad for wedding rings before & we both just stared at it in horror. Our families hadn’t found out yet & we were already getting wedding ads. It was so creepy & wrecked the mood. He scrolled a bit more in disbelief & another few ads for rings & other wedding related things were the next ads. He closed the app & we worked to get the mood back up but it felt creepy for hours after. I wish we had another way to keep in contact with our overseas families because I’d delete the damn thing immediately if I could.

My friend was talking about "Talking to their algorithm" and giving them a name.
