algorithm changes?

Before the reboot, prolific content creators I follow were common in my for you stream. Now, those videos are basically non-existent. And, I’m getting occasional right wing and zionist posts that I have never shown an interest in. I feel like they’re trying to shape opinion and gently normalize the abhorrent.

Maybe I’m overly sensitive, because that whole thing was super sketchy.

When I read the Supreme Court ruling, I found that the justices only considered the free speech rights of the corporation, not the citizens who use the app. It was clearly an attempt to undermine the working class organizing content on the app. And, it seems to have been somewhat successful. My guess is that the curtailing of liberatory ideas will increase with time.

i’ve commented this many times before, but i’ve not seen any differences. my fyp is the same as it was minutes before the servers went down.

for context i mainly only watch lives and live battles. but the users in my fyp prior to the ban are still there

Mine is pushing right wing stuff on me and I see a ton of spam comments everywhere.

I haven't seen any difference in my algo. Mostly cute animations, animals, crafting, cozy games etc. been the same before and after. I haven't seen any pro-trump or rightwing content, but I don't look for that kinda stuff (for or against, I avoid it all)

I think Tiktok algo is a little nutty and spies on what you're looking at on other platforms, so my little tinfoil hat theory is that if you were really concerned about the shutdown and googling a lot of Trump/Political stuff and watching political videos leading up to the ban, reading news articles, that probably fueled the change in algo

The Supreme Court didn’t consider the speech rights of tik tok users because tik tok did not make the argument for it, and tik tok did not argue about it because it did not have the standing to do so (i.e the didn’t suffer the harm, you guys did)

I've mostly seen the same content (a handful of right wing content)... I think the 12 hour downtime shuffled things around as int'l content is showing up more now. But also, since it's not back in app stores, we're not getting TT app updates to fix any glitches.

I see more right wing stuff, which I never interact with, and I get a lot more ads now.

It's Pet Sematary TikTok. Yes it's back, but something is terribly wrong

I was told that if you block meta, FB and Instagram then your algorithm will be fixed.

I'm seeing this everywhere....I heard one podcast they were theorizing....and i believe said was a "conspiracy theory" the 24 hr blackout was to basically reset everyone's algorithm.... because certain info they don't want us to know.... when we follow certain creators or info the algorithm takes us "deeper & deeper" In to more info

Yeah it’s propaganda machine. That’s why it should have been banned. Trump himself pushed for it during his first term before he realized he could use it for his own benefit
