I've been meaning to switch over to Apple and am a little hesitant to do so with the ban to download again. I've seen post saying upgrading to a newer Samsung had no issues but the information about upgrading iPhone has been extremely inconsistent.

Apple stores still don't carry tiktok (it's still banned, even if no one is enforcing the law for a few months). If you get a new phone it won't download onto it.
