I don’t see this deal happening. It’s a China based company and with the tariffs that were just put in place things may not be going well. You can change your location in your profile on your phone, get an address off Google maps, then go to the App Store and download it, then change it back when you are done. Check on YouTube. I had to do this for CapCut because I deleted it and it worked

Not until it is sold or the law is repealed. The law that banned TikTok has some pretty stiff penalties that accrue daily. While Trump has promised not go after anyone for violating the law (for now) the statue of limitation is 5 years. Which means the next administration could go after them. Apple and Google do not seem inclined to put themselves in that sort of legal jeopardy.
