Weird almost, but not quite, duplicate comments. bots?

I’ve been really bored over the last few days and went on a commenting spree. Fairly quickly i noticed that when a comment on a political thread got traction I’d start getting responses that were VERY similar to each other. Has anyone else noticed something like this? I almost wonder if it’s bots.
