You didn't read all the terms and conditions clearly when signing up for tick tock. Did you add your phone number to your account?

You have to also remove your previously synced contacts (Settings -> privacy -> sync contacts and facebook friends -> remove previously synced contacts)

Its almost like you hit "accept" on a prompt

They ask if they can access your contacts, it’s a box when setting the account up that they tick for you. Bcos you ‘agreed’ ie didn’t untick the box, it’s legal. They know if your number is in someone else’s contacts.
