Has anyone else had issues with editing on the app after the new update?

I like to edit and film in tiktok and I feel like the quality of the upload is better when I film and edit in app since I don't have to upload it.

I did the update on my phone after the app came back in the Google Play store (I'm from the US), and now I'm dealing with severe lagging when it comes to editing my video.

I have plenty of storage space, not a lot of apps running, no crazy edits. Just trimming the clips filmed. Anyone else having this issue?
