Why can I follow accounts on my FYP but not on my suggested accounts list?

Decided to come back to TikTok the other day and made a fresh account, I immediately started following a bunch of accounts I followed before but after a certain point all of a sudden it wouldn’t let me anymore. Figured I reached some kind of limit but it’s been over 24 hours now, and now I can only follow accounts through my FYP but none of my suggested friends/accounts?

Anyone might know what’s up? Thanks in advance.
