I keep getting flooded with messages from supposed art accounts asking if they can pay me to paint/draw a picture of me. I see similar comments on others videoes and it’s so confusing, what kind of scam is this? And is anyone else getting these messages? These are just a few and i have recieved multiple more, for reference i only have about 200 followers.

Someone messaged me after I posted about the passing of my cat & offered to make me a memorial picture. They asked me for a picture, what kind of background, showed me their work etc.. THEN asked me for money. $120-150 but they’d give me a deal at $80 LOL. I was like wtf I just lost my fur baby & spent $3000 in vet bills & you’re asking me for money?! They didn’t reply. I asked chat gpt to make me a memorial picture & it turned out great. Better than what they had to “offer”. If I knew about how much this happened before hand, I wouldn’t have even entertained the idea.
It's a type of check scam I think? Read about it a bit ago. They send you a check and then ask for some money back for something. The check bounces and they make off with what ever you sent.
I am not a content creator on TikTok. I have maybe 5 pictures posted there. I get this exact message often. It's annoying.

I think what they do is some shitty attempt at art and then tell you you have "unlimited changes." There was a twitch streamer I met that basically had a picture of Gir placed on top of an ace of spades. Once they had her money, it was just downhill from there.
