What’s with all the religious comments on TikTok lately?

Almost every comment section I open on TikTok, the top comment is something about Jesus/God. And I was wondering if there’s some sort of trend going on or… is it because of Ash Wednesday? Ramadan? I’m not really much of a religious person lmao

I bet they're bots

I noticed this as well and I hate it. I'm not anti religion but of all places, religion does not belong on TT ffs. I notice it the most on Tiktok's where it's a same sex couple. People will literally put "Jesus is the only one who can save you." or some similar crap like that. So fucking weird and I hope they're bots like someone else suggested in the comments.

A bunch of crooks

my take is that it’s because of the rise in open right wing christian nationalist rhetoric. a lot of people are actually rejoicing in the fact that (mostly white) christians are “back on top” now. kinda like how i used to never see many MAGA oriented comments and now i see more. but it could be deeper algorithm changes. who knows.

Not bots, just Christian kids regurgitating comments. I think we forget how many children are on the internet with us. It’s like a modern-day equivalent of “like and share this post if you believe in jesus blahblahblah.”

Many of them seem like bots- or at least copy paste. I’m sure some are authentic and fueled by this recent…demise of democracy?!?! But the majority I see are out of nowhere, apropos of nothing and formatted something like

Jesus is what can save You. Believe in him and give all glory to GOD for he is the divine savior and the creator of the world. Unto th

And that’s posted under a craft or silly or history tik tok 😂

I know there are random zealots commenting their personal thoughts on “controversial” (lol) subjects- but above is what I’ve noticed lately out of nowhere….

All I see in the comments is Lebron James is our savior

It's because the "Christians" that are trying to make a theocratic state have control over the sensors and the algorithm.

The right is desperately trying to revive Christianity because they used the tea party successfully to subvert evangelical christians to their movement in the early aughties. Christianity has since taken a nosedive in popularity, and rightly so, as Jesus’ demonstrably socialist message was lost in translation while the right drummed up hate for gays and Muslims. They NEED the church to grow because that’s now their seat of power.

The “hegetsus” bullshit is right wing propaganda trying to soften their image. It’s funded by the same people at the heritage foundation.

Long story short- the right needs Christianity to keep their voters complacent in their suffering and agreeable to being cruel to others. So they are pushing the hell out of Christianity.

TikTok capitulated to Dumpy Bump and the discount hitler. That’s why. Idk why anyone still uses it in America knowing that the powers that be legit own it and are going to push Christianity white nationalism to the front of everyone’s page. The fucking shops have nazi shit everywhere
