Why are random tiktoks being labeled as sponsored?

I've been suddenly getting a lot of tiktoks that say sponsored on them but they're not actually selling anything. It's ones with really low engagement. I doubt these people are paying to promote it or anything, but even if they are, would it say sponsored? It's really irritating because I can't repost them or anything. Some of the content is stuff that I'm interested in/think is important so I'd like to repost. It's also just odd how I'm getting so many all of a sudden. Never had this happen before.
