plugged in mic not working - works on all other apps

has this ever happened to anyone? i was making a video using the Sennheiser bluetooth mic that has worked on tik tok in the past (up until last week to be honest). i yap for about 5 minutes and then it comes back that there was no sound at all. i've reset the app, uninstalled, done it all.

the mic works fine elsewhere but nothing here. any ideas?
