Aside from missing the entertainment, recipes, and opinions on world topics, the thing I will miss the most is the free, unbiased, and uncensored news. Seeing riots in other countries and political news that google won’t even acknowledge. TikTok was the last form of news that was untouched by the government, elitists, and mainstream media.

The random death threats from men on TikTok is unreal

I’m a 32 year old woman who literally just posts makeup, healthy living, lifestyle, a little faith content, some silly rants etc. Nothing harmful, just me and my little group of fun followers who engage. The amount of men who come into my comment section here and there and leave death threats on my videos is absolutely unhinged. It doesn’t usually bother me but every once in a while I really stop and think “wtf?” You know? Like why do men get so angry at women for just existing online? You really gotta wonder.

The amount of toxicity on this app almost made me commit suicide

I'm sure you won't care about this telling from the audience that has been built up, but YouTube shorts is just generally better, its audience is kind and due to how TikTok users never colonized it, it's the only pure fan base, I've ever experienced, as a guy who always scrolled through yt shorts, while my mental health was down low I was overwhelmed on how everyone is just generally toxic, the vids were good tho ngl, but the audience was ASS it almost pushed me to a breaking point at my lowest to rethink everything about my life
