Ranting about the Tiktok comments section. Read below (pictures for example)

Why does Tiktok ALWAYS push reactionary comments that I disagree with to the top of comments section even though it has like <100 likes?

I picked a recent example where Kendrick had a feature on a Carti album and this tiktok was his verse with lyrics and most of the positive comments with high likes are pushed down and all the low negative ones are higher up. There are 3 negative comments with less than 7 likes higher up than a positive comment with 4k likes and another one in the hundreds trying to study the lyrics.

I can be watching a video arguing that Human fucking Rights should be protected and I’m like surely there’s no way someone can genuinely disagree with this. And then I see 2 comments with 1 like, no replies get boosted to the top of the comments section. How tf does Tiktok even know that this comment is going to get a rise out of me? I dont even reply to them.

It’s so annoying. Like I just want to read some funny comments or people just vibing out or agreeing with normal things but Tiktok always pushes the negative comments that either truly believe it or just are baiting people.

Compare this with YouTube shorts and it’s night and day. The first 2 pages of comments are almost always agreeing with me or the OP. Or at least their disagreements make sense.

Idk why Tiktok does this because it literally makes me want to engage less with the comments. I barely open them nowadays because it’s always the same old shit.
