If you don’t watch videos on TikTok and only post, does TikTok not recommend your videos?

I just created an account after being pretty disinterested in TikTok, I made it purely to promote my cooking page since I have fun with experimentation in the kitchen. However I’m curious to see if by not wanting to watch content if I’m wasting my time posting since TikTok doesn’t want to recommend my videos, I’m brand new to the platform so I wasn’t expecting anything crazy or major views straight away, but I’m debating whether I should just pack it in and remove TikTok since I have zero interest in watching videos only posting,

I do have an example video of mine that I’ve attached so you know the type of content I make (I know the audio isn’t great and is probably a reason the video hasn’t gotten more than a little over 500 views.
