Why are these even allowed? People get banned on TikTok for no reason while these are still out there

Big tech companies have loser CEOs who are using social media to swing current culture so they can be socially on top, as well as similar loser people to them. Only solution is to create new social media sites that aren't run by losers.

I can’t even comment “Ew” without TikTok deleting it.

You aren't the only one who is feeling it. Social Media (which unfortunately makes up the majority of the internet right now) has become a energy vampire machine that just feeds off ragebait, psychosis and hate.

Bro it's the internet. You're behind a screen. Your true ugliness is not in check and will come out.

I feel so tinfoil hat saying this.. but Twitter/Facebook/TikTok (and by extension insta) are all owned by billionaires who are catering to Donald Trump out of either fear or mutual benefit.

How are they catering? Facebook dumped it's US moderators in favor of people "self moderating" similar to X - which isn't exactly a successful model. TikTok is fearful they will basically get banned again at Trump's whim, so anything not directly violating TOS will likely stay up.

All of this is tied to claims of censorship during 2020 by republicans. Censorship of COVID, and most notably.. the Hunter Biden laptop "scandal". There is some small truth to those claims, but most of the censorship done was done for good reason.

Facebooks censorship started after they contributed to an actual genocide in Myanmar. It was expanded in 2020+ because of COVID misinformation/disinformation. And it was expanded specifically in regards to the Hunter Biden situation, as they were contacted by the Federal Government and asked to keep a lookout for a large disinformation campaign. That lead to a ~24h period where anything mentioning the laptop got censored, furthering the conspiracy.

So long story short, the fact that these immensely powerful platforms belong to a handful of ultra wealthy people who are catering to a single person, is the main reason you're seeing more hate speech online.

It's the large corporations capitulating to the right. It's how they plan to hold onto their power.

It’s awful. Anytime I mention literally any tech problem I am bombarded with “skill issue” comments and insults.

There’s way too much hate, and yet I get flagged for saying something as simple as “chump change” it doesn’t like the word chump) but allows the n word :/
