How to delete rednote/xiaohongshu account

So it seems that you can only delete your account now by providing your national ID or letting them scan your face while holding your ID which I do not want to do. Is there any other way to delete your account? There used to be an option via phone number but when I tried it months ago it glitched out if it was a non chinese number, but now that option seems to be gone? I only used this app once to try it out and now It's impossible to delete my account, the national ID verification is very unnecessary and I feel uncomfortable with that.

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship...
