Bookmarked videos - why is there now a search bar? And why does the video fade out before it’s done playing?

I used to watch bookmarked videos just a few days ago and there was no search bar at the top and the video would play until it was finished. Now it will start to fade and then the app closes after about 60 seconds, even if the video is not done. Is this because of the recent iOS update?
