If I have a video doing pretty well, should I just not post anything for a few days?

I had a video that was doing pretty well yesterday, (2000 views, 300 likes, 56 comments). It was still getting engagement this morning but then I posted a new one and the engagement on that old one COMPLETELY dried up. The system is crazy.
