What happens when you repost a tiktok?

I have a friend who has somewhat of a following on tiktok. I have reposted a couple of their videos and I’m not sure if it had been successful because my home profile doesn’t show them in the videos I’ve posted. How do I know that I am successfully reposting them and what happens (where do they show up on my page) when I do. I’m in my 20s, I’m just so clueless when it comes to social media. Thanks!!
