Image slide shows not working

So I just got a new phone (Nothing phone 3a). And I've noticed that swiping on image slideshows doesn't really work. Most of the time it swipes to the creators page instead of to the next image, sometimes it seems like there is a specific spot on the screen in which I have to swipe but this isn't the case all the time and the area seems to be different all the time. Does anyone know why this happens?
