Algorithm Is Odd

Hey everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience as me on the app as of the last couple of months regarding the algorithm and pushing of certain content.

To be frank, I only ever interacted with memes, dark fantasy videos, cooking recipes, travel, and gaming videos for the most part. I’ve noticed a huge influx of political content from both sides of the spectrum and I always put do not recommend these types of videos but they still get pushed onto my feed. I’ve also noticed an ever bigger push of religious content onto my feed in regard to Christianity (not that religious myself) but whatever makes you happy. I also put do not recommend these types of videos as well but it’s constantly pushed onto my feed and comments on videos are bots posting scriptures, I’m not insinuating religion is bad whatsoever but I’m a bit off put by the sudden push.

I have gone as far as blocking certain words that are #tags in some of these videos so I would see less of them BUT I’ve been getting even more untagged videos that are correlated with these key words which is insane! My For You Page is no longer for me it’s more of a “This Is What We Chose For You Page.” Has anyone ever experienced anything similar ?
