Avoid selling yourself out as much as you can is my advice. Let companies come to you, and only promote the ones you actually use/believe in. A lot of big accounts die off because they’ll overly promote random products, not only does it mess with their algorithm but your viewers do not give a single f**k about buying a product (considering your content is apparently completely unrelated to any kind of product in the first place).
My best example of how to PROPERLY monetize yourself with a brand sponsor: Tony Statovci with the company RAW. He already made 🍃 related content, and it fits his audience, not to mention he does skits and being able to cleverly make a skit WITH the product involved is a huge advantage.
Idk your content specifically, but say you regularly drink a coffee in your supposed selfie videos. Try to get a brand deal with a coffee company, promote it in a nonchalant and appetizing way. A lot of creators are just horrible with their marketing/advertisements and make it seem overly forced.
For reference, I’m a marketing professional, and recently most successful tiktok ads (from creators with sponsors, not the paid-for ad space) are those with products that are related to the creator’s niche. Relevance is key right now, and it’s important to know the metrics and demographics of your audience to decide what product may be suitable to promote.
