Anyone else seeing an influx of hateful posts on tik tok?

i saw a post about white culture today but that’s about it

I see homophobic comments on the app constantly now. And even if i report them they don’t get removed. 

Nope. I only see those here thankfully. But more hate comments for sure.

I deleted tik tok + acc over a year ago. Then I was sickness leave and was bored at home and thought I can check TT. App downloaded, Acc created, in within 24 hours my algorithm was so far right, insane. Comments where people said holocaust didn’t killed enough and really insane stuff. I deleted the app and acc and wow, insane.

It's the internet and it was bound to happen eventually. Especially if TikTok doesn't put their foot down and start banning bad apples. Walking the line is what these channels do with their hate because it fuels engagement from most individuals. For example, 20 years ago you'd see things like "if you don't like this post then you don't care about God" on facebook. Low Effort Rage bait statements like this one work well to get both nonbelievers and believers to comment. Since these channels and pages don't care about their public image and just want an audience to make money, it doesn't really matter what they talk about.

The last one I saw today on TikTok was a woman with the caption "STOP DATING MEN." And their account name was Miss Andry. The correct way to deal with rage bait is to scroll on. But sadly the majority of human beings do not have self control and will fall for it.

yeah ive noticed people on social media are getting meaner and judgier every day. you cant post ANYTHING no matter what you are your comments will get flooded with people looking for problems. Anytime i see a woman, lgbtq member, any minority, or any religion, i know the comments are disgusting. especially women, theres always 12+ year olds threatening women :(

Got mass flagged for arguing with Nazis and got my account perma banned. I think it was for the best, my mental health was in decline from just how frequent it showed up.

And yeah, I know not to respond to stuff since the algorithm will recommend it, but I had already tried that for a while to no avail, the app itself is unsalvageable in the way iFunny became a hub for bigots and idiots.

TikTok is garbage now since they bowed to Trump. It’s so full of hate. I deleted it as soon as I saw that T rump was going to save the day!!
