Any get rich scheme you find on the internet is either a scame or has already run its course and is completely unprofitable by the time you hear about it.

No, most of these types of apps are meant to give you countless ads and are incredibly unprofitable. I downloaded an app like this a around a year ago where you walk to earn points that can be traded in for gift cards. I did the math, and it would have taken me an entire year of walking 20000 steps a day just to afford enough points to receive a $10 gift card. They are designed like this so they can receive a lot of money while you get little to nothing. However, they spend a ton on marketing to trick people.
