Fuck TikTok. It’s not just viewers but content creators as well who have to fight this absolutely atrocious community guidelines bullshit. Unfortunately YouTube, their biggest competitor yet also has been quite anti-consumer, treats content creators a whole lot better which is why they’ve focused more on that platform. It’s on a downward spiral. Hope some shitty billionaire or private company finally buys TikTok only for it to finally flop and for them to lose billions.
It’s a real concern. I chipped a tooth eating a chocolate covered strawberry. Also, they took the gumball eyes away from the character ice cream (SpongeBob, Spider-Man, etc) and replaced them with chocolate chips because too many kids cracked teeth on frozen gumballs.
It’s insane….
I mean yes I think moderation is important… the lack there of due to pivots has done significant damage to a couple other places but when it appears to be pure algorithmically driven and those algorithms are poorly written… we get this.
