Views but no follows. Thoughts?

We’re new to TikTok. We have basically no followers and a few posts. I posted a video that has just under 3k likes but we didn’t get any followers from it. Is it common for views to not turn into follows? Is there a way to get them to translate? Like something in the bio, there has to be a lot of content on the profile, better grid? Any advice for getting impressions to turn into follows? Thank you!
