Mine is nothing but weird inappropriate ads and angry political rants with no likes. I can’t see what’s trending anymore and I miss the goofy videos with millions of views and viral sounds. I’ve tried everything and I can’t get my FYP back. I’m debating just deleting the whole thing.
Yeah. My FYP is garbage. Full of bot accounts reposting other creators stuff. Or reposting scenes from 1990’s Lifestyle channel

No. TicTok is exactly the same except with more of that garbage. I don't know why your first thought was to assume it had something to do with the ban
Rather it clearly seems to have more to do with the fact that TikTok is just incredibly popular and is not being well moderated.
An example would be that TikTok is allowing straight porn to go right through in lives. You're allowed to say that all men do not deserve, meaning death threats are allowed on TikTok. They allow hundreds of channels to get around the advertisement rules. There are hundreds of ad accounts made by AI bots that post the same video over and over and it doesn't trigger any kind of alert.
All you're seeing is TikTok being used by humans for their own benefit. But when used in that manner it just destroys the app itself because no one wants to see any of that shit.
If you want to reset your algorithm go to settings>privacy >content preferences and reset.
Be vigilant if you don’t want to see certain content. Commenting you hate this persons views is engagement and will feed you more of it. Save yourself account strikes or warnings and just report (if it’s offensive) and always utilize that not relevant button constantly.
Took me a few weeks but my fyp is 98% pet videos and people singing bad karaoke.
Interacting with anything political on that app is playing devils advocate with your fyp.
It used to be easy to change the algo if you ended up on right-wing tic tok. Now it's all I see.

Have you been long pressing for the not interested? I started getting religious content after the 12 hour ban, but it straightened out in a couple days.
