How am I supposed to return an item if it’s actively leaking/ destroyed?

Might seem stupid but do I seriously have to drain it wait for it to dry, then use my own money to package the item back up?

For context I ordered a few boxes and too make it all fit they had to cut one 12 pack into 2x 6, and I can’t use the original box because it would be massive for just one crate, plus its all soggy and wet. I’m assuming it got cut when they sliced the 12 pack into 2? I only noticed it was split when I went to grab one and they were all sticky n stuff.
