Im tryna get rich but
Yes
I've gotten this EXACT scam lmao message for message 😭
Yes. If it seems illogical, or like there are more steps than necessary, it is. Why would someone overpay you only to then ask for a portion of that money back? Doesn’t make sense. If this was real the “client” could simply pay each of you what you were owed directly. This is a common scam format though. Never send money back to someone who sends you money, their original payment will bounce and you’ll be out whatever you sent “back” to them (actually sourced from your own funds).
Not sure the exact scam they will use but 100% a scam. Very common one this sounds like is they will send you a $2,000 money order they want you to cash and send them $1,500 and keep $500. The money order will be fake! They use you to try to get the money and if you do you send them 3/4 of it and they are off never to be heard from again. You are now the one on the hook when it’s found out the MO is fake. If it’s even cashed to begin with. Some are caught at cashing and some after. But you will be caught. Could be a different scam but that’s the one that jumped out when she said you get $2,000 today and get to keep $500.
Yes its a scam. Always say no
YES SCAM!!
Yes, common scam that takes different forms. Long story short someone writes you a bad check. They find a reason to ask you for part of it back (here they say you’ll get 2k and give them 1.5k of that). By the time the bank catches it, you’ve already given this person 1.5k, but the bank will take the 2000, which either leaves you down 2000 or puts your account in the negative.
There’s a sub called scams (or scam?) that will probably explain it better than I can.
If it sounds too good to be true, it’s a scam.
Also 500 wouldn’t make you rich.
