Why do people/businesses create multiple tik tok profiles?

Why do people/businesses create multiple tik tok profiles? Isn’t that something that dilutes your presence and confuses your audience? Does TikTok ban profiles quite often and this is just a fallback?

i have a professional account and a personal one for the brand differences, and yeah Tiktok loves to ban accounts for no reason a lot of us have backups that we keep inert just in case
