Did tiktok change the FYP algorithm?

I swear my FYP has been all over the place and completely unbalanced. Now I’m getting content that would never be suggested to me before, but that’s not a good thing because I don’t want to see that content.

It feels like I’m having to completely re-tailor my FYP. I’ve gotten it slightly better than it was earlier, but now the content is just horribly unbalanced. I’m getting like 10 videos in a row of a topic that I like, but don’t really want to see that often.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am not sure, but I do know it always worked, and it always went off at not only the type of post that you’re liking but the hashtags that person use so you always get forced inappropriate content that you’re not looking for because the most commonly used hashtags are FYP and they like whatever on their common ones that you see a lot like that XYZBA whatever it was

yeah this has been happening to me recently too. it usually happens if i like literally ONE video on this topic/audio/trend, then every single tiktok on my fyp is about that
