So it won't benefit me to just use TT from desktop?

There appears to be no way I can access certain settings without having a compatible phone and app, unless I go through another account creation process. Anyhow I consistently get told "maximum number of attempts reached" when IRL I haven't made any attempts before in the preceding 18 hours, at least.
