“You’ve changed.” Yeah… I did. And I’m not sorry.
Just because someone is used to the old version of you doesn’t mean you owe it to them.
You’re allowed to grow. You’re allowed to set boundaries. You’re allowed to protect your peace, even if it makes other people uncomfortable.
Not everyone will understand your healing. Some liked you better when you didn’t say “no,” didn’t speak up, or constantly put yourself last.
But healing means evolving. And not everyone can come with you.
So when they say, “You’ve changed,” go ahead and say: “Yeah… I did.” Because you deserve peace, even if it costs approval.
