I have no idea why this post or even this sub popped up in my feed. This is not usually my type of thing.

My problem is, I like nerds. So even if you looked like one, that wouldn’t be a bad thing.

You look like somebody I would see in a crowd. We could make eye contact, but are just out of reach. It’s impossible for any further connection.

But this keeps happening. Sometimes it’s two or three weeks before it happens again. Sometimes much longer. Eye contact. Recognition, Pleasant surprise again. Then swept in a different direction with the crowd. So familiar but completely unknown.
