TikTokers censoring the word "YouTube"

I wanted to get some clarity on this.

I had seen some videos in the past few months from different creators and anytime they talk about YouTube, they censor it. Some include:

  • The site with the big red play button
  • The biggest video sharing and uploading site
  • The site that rhymes with [insert YouTube rhyme here].

And others.

With TikTok as a whole: do they actually take down videos mentioning "YouTube"?

I haven't seen that issue. I create shorts on YouTube and often post them on TikTok and I always mention my YouTube channel since it's my primary social media account, and none of them have been taken down. Have you tested it beyond that you mentioned?

I have heard, that TikTok doesn't like it if you send people "off site". I've never had an issue with that though.

Like YouTubes dislike of people recommending Rumble or that cesspool Kik, you can find Tubers claiming to be demonetized for mentioning them out loud, forcing the use of terms like "that green one" or alternate platforms, but no such issues with Instagram? Very weird.
