Friends tiktok app might be corrupted

So one of my friends for some reason cant have streaks with aynone other then 1 person he tried the obvious reinstalling the app clearing cache checking if his region is correct Still nothing his app is fully up to date he even complained that after trying to reinstall he lost the ability to repost but then magically got it back after some time
