Paramedics and EMTs usually don’t pronounce death (except in clear-cut cases like decapitation, rigor mortis, or decomposition). Their job is to continue resuscitation efforts until the patient reaches the hospital.
EMS usually continue CPR, ventilation, and medication delivery during transport so the patient gets every possible chance under a doctor’s supervision.
There’s no other conspiracy theory this is just standard practice.
That was actually incredibly helpful, I appreciate those who share their knowledge!
A helpful explanation but one hopes he was more concise in his writing.
He took forever to say it, but it's all true.
In Iraq I was responsible for writing casualty reports that would enter the official channels to send notification to the next of kin. I personally identified every person who I wrote a report on. If it were up to me, it would have been a disaster because I was wrong sometimes.
There would be casualties coming in, who I would see and I would be certain were they dead, only to have the medics start working on them and they would live. Like a dude came in with a bullet through his forehead and I'm getting ready to pull his dog tags, only to have a medic slap me away.
And then I was also wrong the other way. Dudes would come in and be responsive and then die minutes later because they were bleeding out.
This happens all the time. When I was overseas, I saw a guy step on an IED and completely vaporize. Bc there was nothing left, they ruled him as MIA (missing in action) instead of KIA. We made statements so that they would change it instead of giving his wife and kids false hope.
That also means that there wasn't a medical professional on site in order to treat him before he got to the hospital.

Only an MD can pronounce death. He was DOA when he got to the hospital.
He was dead before he hit the ground
Man I hate this, why does this dude need a 3 minute video to say there was no official medical person to pronounce the death since they drove him to the hospital themselves. Thats it. 3 second video. All you need.
