blocked but i can see pfp some days

So I’ve been blocked by someone on TikTok. Normally, when someone blocks you, their profile picture shouldn’t be visible in your DMs. But for me, some days their profile picture randomly shows up in our old chat and then disappears again.

Is this just a TikTok glitch/caching issue, or does it mean the person is unblocking and blocking me repeatedly? Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
